Persian Saffron

Handpicked in the Herat Province of Afghanistan, this Persian Saffron is one of the best in the world. The saffron is an all red, Super Negin type. 

Two weight options for purchase: 1 gram or 2 grams

Saffron is harvest from a flower known as the Saffron Crocus (Crocus Sativus). Our saffron comes from a co-op in Herat, Afghanistan made up of 28 farmers (as of 2020), with many of whom are women. The co-op uses a portion of their proceeds to develop the local schools in the province.
